Missing Information For Small GA Airports

C M 2 years ago updated by Eric.Rush (Project Lead) 2 years ago 1

There used to be a lot of information on the airport diagrams for smaller airports which are now missing with the "new and improved" version (for example, HFY and GEZ).  Please fix the missing information on the smaller GA airports.

Hello,

The airport diagrams used in the AOPA Airport Directory come directly from the FAA. The old Airport Directory actually did not display an airport diagram for smaller airports whereas the new directory does. The FAA only publishes comprehensive diagrams for about 800 airports. For smaller airports that the FAA does not create a diagram for, we use the thumbnail diagram that is at the bottom of published instrument procedures. This is a new feature we added to the new airport directory.
