Nav Log show toc and tod

Rob B 4 years ago updated by Eric.Rush (Project Lead) 1 year ago 4

I am not seeing top of climb and top of descent on the nav log. Sure would be helpful if your wonderful little tool could help me figure out when I should start my descent given that I told you everything about my aircraft, you have the winds aloft and the airport elevation.

A new version of the Flight Planner was released on July 18th that includes a Route Wind Optimizer and Assignable Altitude Per-Leg. In addition, this new version also displays Start of Climb, Level Off and Start of Descent points on the Chart and NavLog. Additional NavLog enhancements have also been made to display common communication frequencies for the departure and arrival airports, a HOBBS and TACH IN/OUT log and IFR Clarence fields when the type of flight is IFR. There is also a Notes field that a user can type in details they want to have printed on the NavLog.

Would love to see this added, especially top of climb at a minimum.

Yes - what a gr8 feature - since this app links to Flight Schedule Pro which does include TOC and TOD - what a gr8 assist for those still flying true VFR and steam guages - but more importantly as training tool for Student pilots who would benefit for their fussy CFI and DPE ... I have to jump between Sky Vector and this Tool to use Sectionals and plot the TOC and TOD ... sort of double work. Suspect the general audience may still be low-slow fliers. Thanks!
