How about adding links on the airport information popup to the AOPA airport directory and Google maps to nearby restaurants and hotels?

Hello,

You can access the AOPA Airport Directory from the Airport Information window in the flight planner. Click on either the identifier label or, the name of the airport in the window. That will open the corresponding airport in the Airport Directory (see screenshot below).

The Airport Directory is currently in re-design and when released, will contain additional content including Google Maps integration with pins for local businesses and attractions. This will not only provide local food and lodging, but other references as well.

More to follow later in the year.

@eric.rush: You might want to experiment with the style sheet and indicate these links differently. It was not apparent to me that either the label or the airport name were linked. Approaches and Runways are underlined, for instance. The fact that some links are underlined and others are not may be why those that aren't are not obvious. Thanks!
