metar station color overlay not updating

Dane L 3 years ago updated by Eric.Rush (Project Lead) 3 years ago 1

Left flight planner in browser window overnight. Clicked refresh button today. Weather overlays updated except for metar stations color. However, when click on a particular station, correct metar info was present.

There are multiple external items that are in-use when using the flight planner. Some of these items can "time-out" when a session is left static for too long, especially overnight as in your case. The "Refresh" button built into the flight planner only refreshes the chart and not necessarily all the external referenced items. The best way to refresh all parts of the flight planner is to either close your browser and open an entirely new session, or, use the Browser refresh button. If that does not work, then a third option is to do a full refresh which can be done by holding the CTRL key and pressing the F5 key at the same time (CTRL+F5). This forces the browser to load everything fresh and not rely on any cached content that the browser stores. This works on most all websites, not just the flight planner.
